This Staurolite stone has been sourced from Russia and the hammered sterling silver ring has been hand crafted around the stone by Balinese and Javanese artisans . It is a beautiful representation of a Fairy Cross and it is a very rare piece.

We chose our supplier because they meticulously handpick everyone of their crystals and gemstones (some of the best quality and unique pieces we have ever found) so we only see the cream of the cream.. Staurolite is famous for its twinned crystals that form into the shape of a cross. It is known as the "Fairy Cross"

It forms two twin types; one that is nearly 60 degrees and one that is nearly 90 degrees. The 60 degree type is more common (x) but the 90 degree type (+) is rare and most sought after - which this stone is:)

It is a complex mineral containing iron, magnesium, zinc, aluminium and silicon.

Staurolite is also said to help one feel safe, protected and secure. It is stabilizing to the emotional body and can help with stress and excessive fear.

The stone measures approximately 15mm x 13mm including the sterling silver surround.

The sterling silver band is hand hammered (so it is bumpy, not a smooth band)

It is 17mm wide at the front of the ring where the stone is and is about 6mm wide at the smallest point at the back of the ring.

It is 6mm thick/high at the top of the ring including the stone and the band is approximately 1mm thick.

The Fairy Cross is a truly unique and wonderful creation of mother earth and this ring is an amazing representation of it.
