This Staurolite stone has been sourced from Russia and the hammered sterling silver ring has been hand crafted around the stone by Balinese and Javanese artisans . It is a beautiful representation of a Fairy Cross and it is a very rare piece.

We chose our supplier because they meticulously handpick everyone of their crystals and gemstones (some of the best quality and unique pieces we have ever found) so we only see the cream of the cream.. (and I get to pick the best from their selection:) In an age where everything is mass produced in bulk, such an approach is rare. Staurolite is famous for its twinned crystals that form into the shape of a cross. It is known as the "Fairy Cross"

It forms two twin types; one that is nearly 60 degrees and one that is nearly 90 degrees. The 60 degree type is more common (x) but the 90 degree type (+) is rare and most sought after - which this stone is:)

It is a complex mineral containing iron, magnesium, zinc, aluminium and silicon.

Staurolite is also said to help one feel safe, protected and secure. It is stabilizing to the emotional body and can help with stress and excessive fear.

This pendant is a one of a kind, hand crafted and very special pendant for someone drawn to the magickal and unusual dimensional reality of the faerie realm.

The stone in this pendant measures approximately 16mm (H) x 15mm (W) x 6mm (D) It has a wonderful 3D effect and shows how deep the cross is immersed in the gorgeously sparkley rock surround.

The pendant itself is 50mm (H) x 20mm (W) x 6mm (D).  There is a sterling silver loop on the back of the pendant to put the necklace through.
